Congressional Term Limits Petition

The Cat has typed out a petition on WhiteHouse.gov (which was really hard to do without thumbs!) to get people to speak out in support for Congressional term limits. You've bitched enough. It's time to put up or shut up! Follow the link, sign up, and put your John Hancock on the dotted line. Let's get rid of career politicians.

"This petition, in response to the lowest ever approval rating of congress in history, is proposed to weed out career politicians who make party politics priority over the will and welfare of the people. Term limits are needed to allow new ideas into congress. This has become necessary as we've seen generational biases and out-moded ideas affect policy and civil rights issues. Career politicians fail to recognize and identify with societal changes. This type of Constitutional amendment was proposed once before in 1951 when the 22nd Amendment was ratified, limiting the term of the presidency to two 4-year terms. As the president must be subject to term limits to avoid dictatorship, so should the House and Senate."

"tired, now...wake me when we hit 25,000 signatures..."
